In a previous post, I shared my concern about a lack of oral language development during the COVID-19 pandemic. To that end, here's an idea on how to use 3rd grade math content to encourage discussion and conversation.
TEKS 3.2A - compose and decompose numbers up to 100,000 as a sum of so many ten thousands, so many thousands, so many hundreds, so many tens, and so many ones using objects, pictorial models, and numbers, including expanded notation as appropriate;

Now, have students get with a partner and choose three tasks below to make a tic-tac-toe.
