For educators looking to supplement their grades 1 - Algebra 1 math instruction with quality, TEKS-based videos from a lifelong Texas educator, this is the place to start (and hopefully end).
I've created 5-minute videos for each elementary and middle school math standard and made them available for free to students, teachers, and parents on YouTube.
These videos are great introductions to each standard, serve well as review, and can even be assigned to students individually based on their learning needs.
For students in grades 3 - Algebra 1, I've also taken each released STAAR question from 2016 - 2023 mathematics tests (and all the redesign practice items as well) and recorded a 5-minute video explaining how to find the solution. When getting ready for the upcoming STAAR test, there's no better resource available. Also included are STAAR quizzes, which are free-to-use Google Forms that include each released test item from 2016 - 2022 by standard. These quizzes are self-grading and include links to the videos showing how to find the correct answers!
Students during the summer still need to keep up with mathematics content. These summer plans can be used to either review the grade level just completed or preview material from the upcoming school year.
Finally, when the STAAR test rolls around, these 40-day learning progression are a great way to review the entire grade level TEKS starting around spring break.
All of these resources are FREE and available on this site and on my YouTube channel. If you would like all of these links in a FREE one-page Google Doc resource, please fill out the form linked below.
