This post explains and gives practice opportunities related to TEKS A.9C:
write exponential functions in the form f(x) = abx (where b is a rational number) to describe problems arising from mathematical and real-world situations, including growth and decay
Instruction
Students learn to how to write exponential functions when given x- and y-coordinates on a table.
Students also learn how to write exponential functions when given information in a word problem.
Finally, students learn to write exponential functions when simply given a graph of the function.
