determine the domain and range of a linear function in mathematical problems; determine reasonable domain and range values for real-world situations, both continuous and discrete; and represent domain and range using inequalities;
Instruction
Students learn how to find the domain (set of independent [x] values) and the range (set of dependent [y] values) in both continuous (all possible numbers between points) and discrete (whole, concrete numbers found by counting) data sets.
