5th Grade Math - Simplifying Expressions and Order of Operations

This post explains and gives practice opportunities related to TEKS 5.4F:

simplify numerical expressions that do not involve exponents, including up to two levels of grouping
 

Instruction

Simplifying expressions with the order of operations requires that students apply their knowledge of both parentheses and square brackets.
